Networking and social interaction hold an essential role at the IUCN Congress. Not only do the conferencing sessions allow for new relationships to form; social events also liven up the Congress and provide participants with a welcoming place to wind down at the end of the day or during lunchtime.
What is your idea for a fun time? Strolling along an art exhibition, checking out traditional dancing, tapping to a music performance, making new friends at a function? These were part of the Jeju experience. From cultural shows to informal icebreakers, they offered countless opportunities to make contacts in a relaxed atmosphere.
A selected number of social events were shortlisted as part of the official Congress programme. In addition, many exciting side events were organized by the host country and as well as private events held by the various delegates present in Jeju.
