Individuals and organizations can get involved in the Congress in many different ways:

Attend the Congress: The event is made up of two main parts - the Forum, which is open to all, and the Members' Assembly, where Members exercise their rights.

Delegates at the IUCN Members Assembly 2008

Become a Member of IUCN and gain the right to participate in the elections, and submit and vote on motions.The deadline to receive applications is 12 August 2011 to be considered at the 78th Meeting of Council in February 2012.
